Workforce
Information and updates on hospital workforce issues such as staffing, education, labor and employment.
Health careers are cut out for people who want to make a difference, whether it's directly at the bedside or through supporting a hospital and its mission in a variety of other jobs. OHA offers resources to help members understand and address current workforce issues.
One of the resources used to assist Ohio hospitals with managing temporary staffing vendors is a statewide staffing program to help ensure the quality of nursing and allied health professionals and save hospital money on hourly rates and administrative costs. It was developed by OHA Solutions, a subsidiary of the Ohio Hospital Association, and gives access to high quality, affordable temporary staff that can provide alternatives to mandating overtime or closing beds.
